Craig Froude

CEO and Director

Craig Froude

Mr. Froude joined CarePayment Technologies, Inc. in 2011 to accelerate growth and development of the company’s CarePayment® business He brings more than 20 years of experience leading a variety of technology and healthcare organizations.

Mr. Froude was founder, chairman and CEO of WellMed, Inc., a market-leading company that created technology-enabled health management programs and benefit decision support solutions to large employers and health insurers. He was responsible for raising more than $25M of venture and strategic partner capital to fuel growth at WellMed, which later was honored as one of the Inc. Magazine “500 Fastest Growing Companies” nationwide. After the company was sold to WebMD in 2002, Mr. Froude ran WebMD Health Services, which achieved a 42 percent annualized growth rate with revenues reaching $95 million and staff of more than 450. He completed the acquisition and integration of four complimentary organizations, and led strategic planning to achieve growth and ROI improvements for the company’s more than 250 clients, which included Fortune 500 companies and a majority of the Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

He has a degree in finance from Oregon State University, where he serves as an advisor to the OSU Austin Entrepreneurship Program. He sits on the Board of Directors of Portland, Ore.-based Pulse Health, LLC, a developer of biomarker measurement systems, and 4-Tell, a provider of a SaaS personalized product recommendation solution, which works for websites, email, social media and mobile commerce to drive ecommerce revenue.

Brian Brown

Vice President

Brian Brown

Mr. Brown joined CarePayment Technologies, Inc. in 2008 and is responsible for sales operations for CarePayment®. He previously held positions in technical sales and financial analysis functions, and completed a collegiate internship with the company.

Mr. Brown travels extensively in his current role, where he interacts with hospital systems as well as hospital financial management, information systems, strategy and market development associations. He has a Master’s in finance and an undergraduate degree in economics from Clark University in Worcester, Mass.

Steven M. Wright

Senior Vice President, Business Development

Steven M. Wright

Mr. Wright joined CarePayment Technologies, Inc. as a principal in 2003 to lead the development efforts of the healthcare group with a specific focus to CarePayment® program. Prior to joining CarePayment Technologies, Mr. Wright held positions with the Microfield Group, Inc. (now known as EnergyConnect Group, Inc.) including Chief Operating Officer, CEO and Director. EnergyConnect Group is a publicly traded firm specializing in the acquisition of electrical, technology and energy-related businesses.

Prior to joining the Microfield Group, Mr. Wright co-founded Card Capture Services, Inc. in 1993 and successfully grew the company to more than $90M in annual revenue by 2000 when it was sold to E*Trade. In 1997, Mr. Wright was named by the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum and Portland Business Journal as the Oregon Service Entrepreneur of the Year. He has marketing and management degrees from the University of Oregon’s College of Business Administration, and currently serves on the Board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Columbia Northwest.

Ann Garnier

Vice President, Product Management

Ann Garnier

Ms. Garnier joined Aequitas Capital in 2012 to oversee product development for the company’s CarePayment business. Ms. Garnier brings more than 25 years of experience as an executive consultant and senior executive in health care industry.

Before joining Aequitas, Ms. Garnier served as an executive consultant and senior executive with companies in healthcare information technology, managed care, payment accuracy, and the life sciences sectors. She previously was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Operations for RelayHealth Corporation, where she launched the company and created and directed the company’s marketing strategy as well as led operations. She also was Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning for Paradigm Health Corporation, and was a Product Manager for LINC, where she created the first care management software product for group health.

Ms. Garnier has a degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton, and has completed executive programs in strategy, organization and marketing management at Stanford University. She has served extensively in improving outcomes for foster youth as an Advisory Board member and through volunteer work with the Alameda County Court Appointed Special Advocate program.

Jason Nash

Vice President, Technology

Jason Nash

Mr. Nash joined Aequitas Capital in 2012 as Vice President of Technology in the firm’s Consumer Services business. He brings 18 years of experience in quality assurance operations and software development leadership.

Prior to joining Aequitas, Mr. Nash previously was a Senior Director of Operations for WebMD Health, where he oversaw a business with 100-percent uptime success, and held positions as Director of Quality Assurance and Operations for WebMD’s Private Portal business. He also managed quality assurance for Timberline Software, overseeing a 20-person team of engineers.

Mr. Nash has a degree in Computer Science from Oregon State University.

A. Todd Van Meter

Todd Van Meter

Mr. Van Meter joined CarePayment Technologies, Inc. in 2012 to play a critical role in sales, client management, implementation, marketing and business development for CarePayment®, an innovative hospital loyalty program. He brings more than 22 years of experience in revenue cycle and software technology for the healthcare industry.

Mr. Van Meter previously was Senior Vice President at Convergent Revenue Cycle Management, Inc., a division of the leading healthcare outsource firm Convergent, where his overall business strategy drove a three-fold increase in revenue growth in a four year period. He also held national roles for revenue cycle management companies McKesson, Relay Health and ARC Group Associates. He has a degree in marketing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, and is an active member of three leading healthcare management associations.

Patricia Brown

Chief Financial Officer

Patricia Brown

Ms. Brown is the Chief Financial Officer for CarePayment Technologies, Inc. She served 12 years with The Standard, most recently as the Vice President of Information Technology where she had an operating budget responsibility of $45 million and a staff of more than 260. Previously, she was Assistant Vice President, Controller and Treasurer, directing development and management of enterprise-wide budgeting, financial planning, accounting, tax, financial reporting, cash management, and internal control policies and procedures. She was a member of the core team responsible for leading the demutualization of Standard Insurance Company and IPO of StanCorp Financial Group. Prior to The Standard, Ms. Brown spent 11 years at Deloitte & Touche, where she was Senior Manager.

Ms. Brown is active in community affairs. She has served on Boards of the Oregon Trail Chapter of the American Red Cross, Timberwolf Support Organization for Tualatin High School, Young Audiences of Oregon, and the Tualatin Fastpitch Softball Association. She was appointed by the Governor and served for seven years on the Board of the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System. Ms. Brown holds a business administration degree with honors from Oregon State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and a Fellow of the Life Management Institute.

Kent Archambo

Vice President, Operations

Kent Archambo

Mr. Archambo joined Aequitas Capital in 2012 as Vice President of Operations in the Aequitas Consumer Services business. He brings 23 years of experience in direct and indirect lending leadership.

Most recently, Mr. Archambo was the General Manager of Customer Accounts/Recovery/Bankruptcy overseeing an $18 billion portfolio for VW Credit, Inc. During his 15-year career with VW Credit, Porsche Financial Services and Volkswagen Group, he oversaw numerous business units, regional sales, and was the Service Center Leader managing a team of more than 250 employees handling customer service, collections, credit originations, funding, deficiency, risk, quality assurance, and human relations. He also formed a regional office for New York-based Oxford Resources and was a zone credit manager for Chrysler Financial Corporation.

Mr. Archambo has a degree in finance from Central Michigan University.

Huntley McNabb

Vice President, Marketing

Huntley McNabb

Mr. McNabb joined Aequitas Capital in 2012 to oversee marketing for CarePayment®. He brings 20 years of experience in business-to-business marketing and technology services.

Before joining Aequitas, Mr. McNabb was Vice President of Marketing for MedSynergies, Inc., a provider of revenue cycle and hospital-physician alignment services, and was Director of Marketing for hotel technology provider Pegasus Solutions, Inc. He also held positions in sales, account management and marketing for TRX, Inc., and Sabre.

Mr. McNabb received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and received his undergraduate degree in English from Rice University.
