Carondelet offers a new payment plan
In another linkup of the health care and financial service worlds, Carondelet Health is offering patients an extended-term, zero percent financing program for out-of-pocket expenses.
Carondelet is partnering with Aequitas Capital Management in the CarePayment program. It includes a payment card available to all Carondelet patients, regardless of employment, credit history or outstanding payment balances.
Carondelet includes St. Joseph Medical Center in south Kansas City and St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs.
The program provides an "additional option to traditional payment terms and payment methods," Steve Cleary, Carondelet's chief financial officer, said in a release. "With the introduction of CarePayment, all of our patients will be offered the benefit of an extended-term, interest-free finance program to create a payment plan that may better suit their budget."
Aequitas, founded in 1993, is based in Portland, Ore.
